Jordan Adams

Former WNBA player and University of New Mexico standout Jordan Adams joined the UC Riverside women's basketball coaching staff as assistant coach on August 8, 2011.

Adams most recently comes from her alma mater where she was the director of operations for the Lobos from 2008 through 2011. She organized team travel, handled film editing and exchange, directed the team banquet, ran the team booster club, and was the 2011 summer camps director.

During her playing days, she led UNM to the 2003 NCAA Tournament, and was named Mountain West Tournament MVP as a senior. Adams was also a three-time All-League selection, and received the Mountain West Conference Newcomer of the Year award in 2000.

She was drafted by the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx in 2003, and went on to play overseas in France, Greece, and Korea. She continued her basketball career playing for the Canadian Senior Team from 2007-10.

In 2010, Adams was honored with selection on the Mountain West Conference All-Decade Team for her accolades with the Lobos.

Adams received her bachelor's degree in undergraduate studies from New Mexico in 2003, and pursued a master's in special education from Western Governors University in 2010.

She prepped at Moapa Valley High School in Overton, NV, where she was a four-time state volleyball champion and earned the state volleyball MVP award on two occasions. Adams also led her team to the 1999 state basketball championship, and was named the Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year.

Adams comes from an athletic family, as her biological father played professionally overseas and for the Canadian National Men's Team, and her brother currently plays basketball at Kentucky and for the Canadian Junior National Team.

In her free time, Adams enjoys playing volleyball, kickboxing, swimming, and watching movies.
