2016 Big West Co-Freshman of the Year Jakeishya Le serves as an assistant coach for UC Riverside women's golf after four years as one of the most decorated golfers in UC Riverside history.Â
Le was a four-time All-Big West selection for the Highlanders, twice finishing in the top five of the Big West Championships. She tied for 15th at the 2016 NCAA Palo Alto Regional and tied for 63rd at the 2017 NCAA Lubbock Regional.Â
Her name is all over UCR's record book, as she holds three of the top 10 single-season scoring averages and is one of seven Highlanders in program history with multiple wins in a career. She holds the top spot with 36 career rounds at or below par, 301 career birdies and is one of five Highlander to shoot a 67 or lower in a round.
She played her junior golf at the Southern California Golf Association and currently serves as the Association's Program Coordinator for the Riverside community. As a Program Coordinator, Le works in the field as the lead instructor during all classes, leagues and special events and also serve as the Site Director for the Riverside LPGA-USGA Girls Golf chapter.
She also hosts one-on-one lessons and lead league opportunities. In addition, she helps develop curriculum, manage the local part-time coaches and identify and cultivate local partnerships. Le will leads the PYD program’s virtual program initiatives.
