Keishawn Cordier

Longtime Inland Empire club soccer coach Keishawn Cordier joined the UC Riverside Women's Soccer coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in 2010 and full time beginning with the 2011 campaign.

The 2015 campaign saw the Highlanders make their second trip to the conference tournament in three years, and win the second most matches in program history. They also tied the program record for Big West wins in a season.

In 2014, UC Riverside recorded the program's first winning season since the 2006 campaign, finishing 8-7-3. Tyler Cunningham broke the single-season assist mark (10), and she and Amber Marani became the first Highlanders to be named to the NSCAA Division I Women All-West Region Team since 2004, as the pair earned Second Team honors.

In 2011, the Highlanders improved by seven wins, and posted their best Big West record since 2005. Two years later, UC Riverside came within a goal of the NCAA Tournament, falling to Cal State Fullerton in the 2013 Big West Championship in penalty kicks. It was the Highlanders first trip to the conference tournament since 2005, as they finished in third place in the regular season and upended UC Irvine in the conference semifinals.

Cordier, who holds a United States Soccer Federation “A” national coaching license, brings a wealth of club experience to the program. He was the director of coaches at Empire Soccer Club, head coach of the Corona Eagles and Corona United Soccer Club. He also has served on the coaching staffs at Cypress College and his alma mater, California Baptist.

Cordier earned All-Orange Empire Conference honors at Riverside City College prior to transferring to CBU, and after earning his bachelor’s in administration, moved on to play professionally for the Los Angeles Fireballs.
