Former Highlander Kimberly McNeal joined the UC Riverside volleyball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in the summer of 2009 following her playing career with the blue and gold.
Upon graduation McNeal ranked seventh in UCR’s single-season history in digs per game and ninth in career digs per game. She led the Highlanders in digs in 2005, 2007, and 2008, and attack percentage in 2005. McNeal also played softball for UCR during the 2006 season.
The Carson, CA native was a four-time MVP in volleyball at Junipero Serra High School and also earned four letters each in soccer and track & field. She was a seven-time All-Camino Real League honoree, earning the 2003 and 2004 league Most Valuable Goalie award. She was also a two-time league long jump champion, the 2004 200m champion, and three-time member of the 4x100m relay championship team.
