Fresno, CA - The UC Riverside volleyball team faced its first ranked opponent of the 2010 season in the form of the No. 20 ranked Oregon Ducks on Saturday morning in the second game of the Fresno State Classic at the Save Mart Center.
The Ducks proved their national ranking by beating the Highlanders in three straight sets, 25-16, 25-19 and 25-23.
Amanda Vialpando (right) led the Highlanders with a game-high 10 kills while hitting a team-best .348 clip.
UCR concludes play at the Fresno State Classic with a 5:00 pm game against Santa Clara later this afternoon.
