UC Riverside Volleyball Swept By Cal Poly 25-10, 25-21, 25-15

San Luis Obispo, CA - The UC Riverside volleyball team entered Friday's match at Cal Poly riding a two-game win streak, but had it snapped as the Mustangs swept the Highlanders 25-10, 25-21, and 25-15 at Mott Gym in Big West Conference action.
Cal Poly (11-15, 6-7) dominated the first set, but in the second, there were 13 tie scores and four lead changes.
With the scored tied at 19, a Megan McConnell service ace started a 5-0 run for the Mustangs as took a 24-19 set-point lead. Kills by UCR's Amanda Vialpando and Shelby LeDuff made it a 24-21 score, but Kristina Graven's kill sealed the win for Cal Poly.
In the third set, UCR (7-21, 4-10) was down just one, 11-10, before the Mustangs scored five straight en route to a 25-15 victory.
LeDuff led the Highlanders offensively with 11 kills while Megan Patterson added 11 digs. Jennifer Keddy led Cal Poly with a match-high 15 kills.
The Highlanders conclude the 2011 season with two remaining home games beginning with a November 18 meeting against Cal Poly, and a November 19 match against UC Santa Barbara at the Student Recreation Center in Riverside.
