UCR Hurler Matt Larkins Named Big West Conference Pitcher Of The Week

Irvine, CA—The Big West announced today that UC Riverside hurler Matt Larkins is the conference pitcher of the week for February 14-20.
The senior right-hander struck out 11, walked none and allowed just five hits in the Highlanders 3-0 win over Loyola Marymount on Saturday, February 19.
Those 11 Ks are the most by a member of the Highlanders since James Simmons sent 15 members of the San Francisco Dons back to the dugout on February 16, 2007.
UC Riverside (1-3) hosts USC on Tuesday, February 22 at the Riverside Sports Complex. First pitch is slated for 6 pm PT.
