Tre'Shonti Nottingham Named Big West Conference Player Of The Week

Irvine, CA—The Big West announced today that UC Riverside guard Tre'Shonti Nottingham is the conference player of the week for games played from November 12-18.
The Moreno Valley senior averaged 29.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 3.3 steals per game in the Highlanders three wins on the week while connecting on 37 of 39 shots from the free throw line.
UC Riverside began the week on Monday, November 12 traveling to Malibu to take on Pepperdine. The Highlanders built a 22 point lead early in the second half only to watch as the Waves tied the score 2:23 on the clock. But Nottingham drained four free throws down the stretch to give her a career-high tying 29 points on the night and help UCR to a 79-71 victory.
The Highlanders then returned home for a Thursday, November 15 meeting with Utah State. The game went into overtime where Nottingham scored 10 of UC Riverside's 13 points en route to a 94-90 win over the Aggies. Once again, Nottingham tied her career high with 29 points.
On Sunday, November 18 UCR made its way up to CSU Bakersfield where Nottingham tied her career scoring high yet again with another 29-point performance. Nottingham broke the Highlanders' record for most made free throws in a game with her 15 for 15 performance on the day, and also became the 14th player in the history of the program to score 1,000 points in her career.
The Highlanders are off until the day after Thanksgiving when they host Princeton at 7 pm PT.
