
Interim Head Coach Dennis Cutts Announces 2013-14 Men's Basketball Schedule

Riverside—UC Riverside Interim Head Men's Basketball Coach Dennis Cutts released the team's 2013-14 schedule today (View Schedule).
The Highlanders begin their academic year with a trip to Vancouver Canada from September 4-10 where they will play three games against teams to be announced at a later date (read the press release).
The official preseason gets underway with a November 1, 7:30 pm PT home game against Pomona-Pitzer, before the team travels to San Diego State to open the regular season on November 8.
The Highlanders open the home portion of their schedule on November 13 with a 7 pm tip against Pepperdine. Three days later, on November 16, UC Riverside celebrates Homecoming and Parents Day with a 4 pm tip against Montana State.
November and December also see UCR travel to Southern Utah (November 23), Seattle (November 25), Air Force (December 14) and Northern Colorado (December 16).
Loyola Marymount and LaVerne make their way to the Inland Empire for 7 pm games on December 2 and 5 respectively, while Illinois Chicago (December 20, 7 pm) and Northern Illinois (December 22, 2 pm) also visit the SRC Arena prior to the holidays.
Following the Winter Break, the Highlanders travel to Sacramento State on December 29 before concluding the non-conference portion of their schedule with a home game vs. Waldorf on January 2 at 7 pm, and a trip to North Texas on January 4.
Big West Conference play gets underway on January 9 as UC Riverside heads westward to Cal State Fullerton, while UC Irvine opens the Highlanders home conference schedule on January 11 at 7 pm.
UCR hosts last year's regular season champions, Long Beach State, on February 8 at 7 pm, and the Highlanders road game at The Beach on March 8 serves as the final conference game of the regular season. UC Riverside celebrates Senior Day two days earlier on February 6 as they host UC Davis at 7 pm.
The Big West Conference Tournament gets underway in Anaheim on March 13 with the semifinals slated for March 14, and the Championship game on March 15.
