UC Riverside's Francisco Tellez Named Big West Baseball Player of the Week

Irvine, CA—The Big West today named UC Riverside first baseman the Conference Player of the Week for games played from March 9-16.
The La Mesa, California native hit .714 for the week with an on base percentage of .789 and a slugging percentage of .929 as the Highlanders won three of four games to move two games above .500 (11-9).
Tellez is third in the Big West in batting average (.424), third in slugging percentage (.576) and fourth in on base percentage (.505). His 36 hits, 10 doubles and 25 runs batted in lead the conference
