Tyler Cunningham Named Tournament Most Outstanding Player At UNLV Rebel Classic

Las Vegas, NV—UC Riverside junior Tyler Cunningham was named the Tournament Most Outstanding Player at the UNLV Rebel Classic this weekend after leading the Highlanders to a 2-0 record and the Tournament Championship.
The Highlanders won both of their matches—3-0 over Grand Canyon (box score/recap) and 4-2 over Northern Arizona (box score/recap). UNLV also won both of its matches, but UC Riverside earned the title by virtue of a larger goal differential.
Cunningham scored a goal and dished out two assists on the weekend. In addition to being named Most Outstanding Player in the tournament, the Fairfield, CA native was named Most Outstanding Offensive Player and to the All-Tournament Team.
Her five goals led the Highlanders a year ago, and Cunningham now has eight goals and four assists in her career.
Alina Cheatham and Amber Marani also earned All-Tournament honors.
