Irvine, CA—For the second time this season, UC Riverside junior libero/defensive specialist Maddie Hubbell has been named the Big West Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

The Bakersfield, California native tallied 28 digs in a straight set win over UC Santa Barbara, helping the Highlanders break the program record for Big West wins in a season. She also had 12 digs in UCR's three-set defeat to Cal Poly.

Hubbell leads the conference in total digs (488) and digs per set (4.93).
