Irvine, CA - The Big West today named UC Riverside outside hitter Helena Peric the Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played November 2- November 7.
Peric is the first UCR player to win the award since Amanda Vialpondo was honored in 2011. The senior from Smederevo, Serbia, led the Highlanders in a historic week of success, as the team won back-to-back conference matches for the first time since 2011, and claimed its record-tying fourth Big West victory.
In a November 3 home match, Peric had a career-high 23 kills to go with 12 digs to help the Highlanders prevail in the five-set battle against CSUN.

On November 7 at Cal State Fullerton, Peric had 15 kills and 6 digs while leading UCR to their first sweep of a conference opponent in four years.
