Irvine—Today the Big West announced that UC Riverside senior Brittany Crain (Moreno Valley, Calif./John W. North HS) has been named Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

In the lone game of the week versus CSU Bakersfield, Crain scored a season-high 29 points on 11 of 15 shooting, including a perfect second quarter.

She shot 4-4 from the field, 1-1 from three-point land and 2-2 from the free-throw line for 11 points. Her perfomance helped the Highlanders outscore the Roadrunners 28-8 in the period, en route to an 81-61 victory.

It was the third time this season scoring 25 or more points for Crain, who added seven rebounds, two assists and three steals to her stat line.
