Brittany Crain Earns Fourth Big West Player Of The Week Award

Irvine, CA—The Big West today named UC Riverside guard Brittany Crain the Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played February 2-8.

This is the fourth player of the week award of the year for Crain who leads the Big West in scoring and ranks fourth in the nation at 24.0 points per game.

In the Highlanders 2-0 stretch last week, the Moreno Valley native posted her 31st and 32nd double-digit scoring effort. The Highlanders took revenge on Cal State Fullerton, 77-69 after dropping their first meeting earlier this season. In UCR's second game of the week, the Highlanders downed the conference frontrunners Long Beach State, 80-74.

Against the Titans, Crain registered 20 points, making good on 7-of-14 attempts from the floor in connection with her career-high nine assists.

The junior nabbed a game-high 27 points, hitting 13-of-17 free-throw attempts. She hit 6-of-12 floor shots, grabbed five rebounds, and handed out two assists.
