The tide turned in the first overtime period, and with 7:40 gone in the extra stanza, Brittany Cooper broke free from the Highlanders defense and found Lina Proska with a pass across the box. Proska settled the ball and slotted it past a diving Elizabeth Silas for the golden goal.
The Highlanders take on the Liberty Flames on Sunday at 11 am in match three of the tournament, followed by George Washington vs. the host Titans in the tournament finale.
