Box Score Fresno- The UC Riverside Women's Volleyball Team moves to 4-6 on the season after topping Central Michigan, 3-0 in the programs' first ever meeting Saturday morning in its final game of the Bulldog Showdown, hosted by Fresno State. The Highlanders completed the tournament going 1-2.

The Highlanders offense was on fire this morning with two members of the squad reaching double-digit kills and a team kill percentage of .304 to the Chippewas' .161. Alexis Urbach led UCR with 13 kills, while Helena Peric added 11.

Freshman Chelsea Doyle had 25 of the Highlanders 35 assists for the match. Libero Maddie Hubbell spearheaded the defense, contributing 11 digs.

UC Riverside will have a week to prepare for its last tournament before conference play, the Grand Canyon Invitational, where they will take on host Grand Canyon Friday, September 18 at 6 pm PT.
