Phoenix, AZ - The UC Riverside Volleyball Team moves to 5-6 on the season after topping tournament host, Grand Canyon, 3-0 on Friday evening at the Grand Canyon Invitational.

The Highlanders offense took over during the match as four members of the blue and gold hammered down double-digit kills. Leading the squad was Helena Peric with 18 kills, followed by Alexis Urbach and Alex Gresham with 12, and Cristina Maietta with 10. Setting up the frontline was freshman Chelsea Doyle, ending her night with a season-high 48 assists and notching her fifth double-double of the year with 11 digs. Big West's leading defensive specialist, Maddie Hubbel put up 30 digs for the Highlanders to round out the top performances of the match.

UC Riverside is back in action Saturday, September 19 as they take on Northern Arizona at 12 pm PT, followed by its first meeting in program history with Boise State at 3 pm.
