Crain Earns Third Straight Big West Weekly Honor

Irvine—For the third week in a row and the tenth time in her career, Brittany Crain was awarded Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

This is the fifth Player of the Week honor for Crain this season, it also makes her one of only five players in conference history with 10 or more awards.

Crain had 28 points to lead five starters in double figures, as UCR completed the season sweep of Long Beach State with an, 83-58 home victory.

At UC Davis, Crain had 18 fourth quarter points, including four three pointers, while carrying four fouls most of the fourth quarter. She put up a game-high 33 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and picked up 2 steals in a, 90-76 win.

Crain continues to lead UCR's historic season, 13 straight wins, and 12 in the Big West—the last four occurred with just seven players available.

She is just 21 points away from becoming the school's all-time leading scorer—Crain is averaging 31.5 points over her last four games.

Crain is now tied with Kemie Nkele for the UCR all-time mark with 10 Player of the Week selections. (view all-time list)
