Crain Earns Eighth Career Big West Player Of The Week Nod

IrvineThis afternoon, the Big West conference named Brittany Crain Women's Basketball Player of the Week. This week's award is the eighth of her career, and the seventh-most in conference history.

The senior from Moreno Valley averaged 22 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals in leading the team to a 2-0 week, with wins over UC Davis (80-73) and CSUN (83-76). She also tied the schools all-time career mark for made three-pointers of 212, as well as helped the team continue to make history with an 8-0 start to conference play.

Her 20.0 points per game scoring average leads the Big West and ranks 30th in nation.

Crain joins teammate Rejane Verin in receiving the weekly honor a third time this season. In the history of Big West conference membership,
UCR teammates had never received multiple conference honors in the same season. (all-time honorees)
