Riverside—The UC Riverside Women's Soccer Team trailed visiting South Dakota, 1-0, late in the second half Friday evening, but Nerisse Bugho grabbed a loose ball in the Coyotes defensive 18, driving home the tying score with 12:20 to go in regulation.
Both teams pressed for the equalizer throughout the two overtime periods, but neither team could dent the back of the net, and the match ended in a 1-1 tie.
UC Riverside goalkeeper Alana Guzman recorded six saves on the day. The lone shot that sailed past her came off the foot of Sammie Villwock, who put home a Taryn LaBree cross with 19:49 gone in the first half.
