Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision At CSUN

Northridge, CA—The UC Riverside Volleyball Team (9-16, 1-12) battled CSUN (12-14, 6-8) Saturday, but fell in straight sets.Â
SET ONE (26-24, CSUN)
Key Runs:Â The Highlanders scored six of the first seven points, but the Matadors countered with a 9-4 run of their own to tie the score at 10. It was still a tied match at 24-24, when CSUN scored the final two points to take the set.
SET TWO (25-22, CSUN)
Key Runs: CSUN scored four of the first five points, and 12 of the first 18, but UC Riverside crawled back into the match, tying the score at 18. The Highlanders were never able to take the lead, however, as the Matadors scored seven of the last 11 points.
SET THREE (25-17, CSUN)
Key Runs: Leading 8-7, the Matadors won the next seven points to take control of the set and the match.
GAME NOTES
Meg Graham led the Highlanders with eight kills, followed by Mickayla Sherman and Fabiana Rosas with seven kills each.
Morgan Kline charted 21 assists, recording a new season best. Her previous season best was 17 assists at Cal Poly on September 23 (Recap).Â
