Men's Cross Country Finishes 7th At Joe Piane Invitational

South Bend, IN—In its third competitive meet of the season, the UC Riverside Men's Cross Country Team finished in seventh-place in the Men's 5-mile at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational with a team score of 183. Redshirt sophomore Arman Irani led the Highlanders for the third consecutive meet to open the season with a time of 24:56.3.

MEET NOTES
Irani's 10th-place finish was tied for the second-best of his career. He has yet to place outside of the top-20 in three events this season.

Demeku-Ousman's 33rd-place finish was his second-best so far this season. It also marked the first time this season that he has finished in the top-two on his team. Entering the year, he had finished in the top-two among Highlanders in nine consecutive meets.
