GAME NOTES
The Highlanders four goals Friday are the most they have scored in a match this season. The last time they scored four goals was on August 30, 2015 in a 4-2 win over visiting Southern Utah (box score/recap).

The Highlanders four goals Friday are the most they have ever scored in a conference match.

UC Riverside has scored seven goals in its last two matches. The last time the Highlanders did that was on September 8 and 12, 2014 in a 3-0 win over Northern Iowa (box score/recap) and a 4-0 victory over CSU Bakersfield (box score/recap), respectively.

The last time UC Riverside scored more than four goals on the road was in a 5-0 victory at Southern Utah on August 28, 2008 (box score/recap).

Jane Jordan's goal was not only the first of her career, but it came on her first career shot attempt.

Ashley Webb's score in the 13th minute gave her goals in back-to-back matches. The last time a member of the Highlanders scored in consecutive games prior to Webb was Brittany Mata who scored single goals at Cal Poly on October 25, 2015 (box score/recap), and vs. CSUN (box score/recap) four days later. Both of those goals were game winners as the Highlanders beat the Mustangs, 2-0, and the Matadors, 1-0. ADDENDUM: No sooner had we typed this note into the story, then Madeline Feist scored in the 83rd minute giving her goals in back-to-back matches as well. The last time a member of the Highlanders score goals in back-to-back games prior to Feist was ... Ashley Webb, 70 minutes earlier.
