Box Score Fullerton, CA – Senior guard Michelle Curry led the Highlanders with 22 points on Thursday night, but the UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team (8-19, 5-8) struggled in the third quarter at Cal State Fullerton (8-18, 3-10) en route to a 71-62 defeat.

UC Riverside led 40-29 out of the halftime break, but was outscored 26-8 in the third quarter, making 4-of-20 (.200) field goals.
GAME NOTES
Curry bounced back from a tough shooting night last Thursday, putting up over 20 points for the third time in four games. She also finished with six assists, tying a conference season-high.
Senior Lauren Holt finished with 10 points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers. Her double-digit scoring streak extends to 20 games.
Sophomore Marina Ewodo just missed out on a double-double, tying a career-high with 14 points (6-9 FG) to go along with 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks.
Senior Inara Nyingifa had her best game of the year, setting season-highs in points (8), rebounds (6), assists (4) and steals (3) in 26 minutes.
The Highlanders will be back on the road Saturday to face UC Santa Barbara at 4:00 p.m. at the Thunderdome.
