Game Notes - UCR vs. Arizona
The UC Riverside women’s basketball team will look to snap their four-game losing skid against the Arizona Wildcats on Wednesday before breaking for the winter holiday.
Fans may follow the action live via live stats, or listen to the play-by-play as John Ramey calls the game beginning at 1:00 pm right here on gohighlanders.com.
In the team’s previous matchup a year ago, the Wildcats won by a five-point margin on their home turf, so it is safe to say that the Highlanders will be looking to return the favor this year.
Arizona is on a two-game losing streak after winning five of their first six games. Davellyn Whyte currenly leads four players in double-figure scoring with 13.1 ppg.
UCR returns to the SRC for just their second home game in the month of December before embarking on another two-game road trip to wilds of Montana.
Senior Marissa Rivera currently leads a quartet of Highlanders in double-figure scoring with 13.9 ppg while Rhaya Neabors (pictured) is averaging 12.1, Alyssa Morris 10.7, and Amber Cox 10.0 ppg.
