Long Beach, CA - The UC Riverside women's tennis team (3-5, 0-2) played their second Big West Conference match of the season at No. 42 Long Beach State on Friday afternoon, but was upended 7-0 by the 49ers.

After losing the doubles point, the Highlanders needed to rally in the singles matches, but Long Beach proved their national ranking by winning all six singles matches. Nadia Sakhakorn at the No. 3 spot kept things close against her opponent, but ultimately fell 7-5, 7-5.

The Highlanders return to the courts on Saturday, Feb. 28 with a 10:00 am Big West Conference match against Cal Poly at the SRC Tennis Complex in Riverside.
