Riverside, CA - Playing their second Big West match in as many days, the UC Riverside men's tennis team was looking to pick up their first conference victory of the season, but Pacific was just too strong as the Highlanders fell 7-0 at the SRC Tennis Complex on Sunday.
UCR (5-16, 0-4) won the middle doubles match as Michael Conroy and Raineir Matias earned an 8-6 win over Artem Gramma and Vegard Veskimagi at the second position, but that was the only victory for the Highlanders as they got shut out in all six singles matches. Two matches went the distance into extra frames, but neither match went in favor of UCR.
The Highlanders conclude Big West play with a 2:00 match against UC Irvine on Friday, April 10 at the SRC Tennis Courts.
