Game Notes - UC Riverside at UC Davis
The UC Riverside women’s basketball team will seek to keep its four-game winning streak alive as the Highlanders hit the road for a three-game swing beginning with a tangle at conference-leading UC Davis at 7:00 pm on Thursday, Jan. 28.
Fans not able to make the trip north may follow the game live via live stats or listen to the play-by-play as the Voice of the Highlanders, Ghizal Hasan, calls the game beginning at 6:55 pm right here at gohighlanders.com.
UCR has had difficulty away from the Student Rec Center this season and is just 1-8 on the road in 2009-10. UCD also owns the all-time record, 17-20, but UCR has won the last two straight.
The Aggies are 5-1 in Big West play and 13-6 overall, winning their last six contests. Paige Mintun leads a trio of players in double-figure scoring with 11.9 points per game.
Junior Alyssa Morris (pictured) leads three Highlanders players in double-figure scoring with 12.5 points per game, but is averaging 14.7 ppg in conference play. She also leads the team with 6.0 rebounds per game.
