Chicago, IL - The UC Riverside women's basketball team will face off against the DePaul Blue Demons in the championship game of the Maggie Dixon Classic on Saturday, November 27 at 5:00 pm PST.
The Highlanders defeated Morgan State and DePaul beat Northwestern State on Friday to advance to Saturday's game. Live stats and video are available at DePaulBlueDemons.com.
This is the first meeting between the teams in program history. The Blue Demons come into the game with a 5-1 record and have four players averaging double-digit scoring, led by Keisha Hampton's 16.7 points per game.
UCR's 3-1 start to the season ties the 2005-06 team for the program's best start in its Division I history. Senior Brittany Waddell leads the squad averaging 11.5 points per game.
