Men's Tennis Drops Close 4-3 Contest To Visiting Gonzaga

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside men's tennis team (3-6) hosted visiting Gonzaga at the SRC Tennis Complex on Wednesday afternoon, but lost a close 4-3 contest to the Bulldogs.
The Zags swept the doubles matches for an early 1-0 lead, but the Highlanders rallied in the singles matches by winning three of them. Quoc Doan defefeated Conor Feeney 7-6, 7-6 at No. 1, while Mike Conroy and Ryan Stanbury won their matches at Nos. 4 and 6.
The three victories in singles was just shy of a win for UCR, however, as Gonzaga needed just a split in the singles matches for a victory.
The Highlanders return to Big West Conference action with a 6:00 pm match at UC Irvine on Friday, Mar. 12.
