Highlanders Conclude Road Trip At No. 25 Ranked Gonzaga On Saturday

The UC Riverside women’s basketball team will face its first top-25 opponent of the season on Saturday, December 17 in the form of Gonzaga. Tip against the nationally ranked No. 25 Bulldogs is slated for 6 pm in Spokane, WA.

The Highlanders are looking to put together their first winning streak of the season after defeating Idaho 70-57 on Thursday (recap / box score / highlight video).

Natasha Hadley currently paces UC Riverside offensively with 13.1 points per game. Tre’Shonti Nottingham scored a career-high 28 points at Idaho, increasing her scoring average to 12.6 for the season.

Gonzaga has also defeated the Vandals this season, a 91-42 victory on November 17. The Bulldogs bring a 7-2 record into Saturday’s game with their lone losses coming at two Pac-12 teams: Stanford and USC. Four players are averaging double-figure scoring for the Bulldogs led by Kayla Standish’s 17.0 ppg.

This will be the sixth meeting between the teams with Gonzaga winning four of the five contests. UCR won the last meeting, though, a 75-65 overtime victory on December 2, 2007.
