Women's Basketball Returns To Action Sunday At Pac-12's Washington State

Fresh off a two-week break from competition due to final exams, the UC Riverside women’s basketball team travels to Washington State on Sunday, December 11 for a 3:30 pm PST tip.
The Highlanders are continuing their season-long five-game road trip and will stay in the Northwest for upcoming contests at Idaho (Dec. 15) and Gonzaga (Dec. 17).
UCR is on a three-game skid, but two of its losses were by just three points. The team’s 1-6 record is also tied for the second-fewest wins to start a season in the program’s Division I history.
Sophomore center Natasha Hadley currently paces the Highlanders offense with 13.6 points per game.
Washington State brings a 5-4 record into Sunday’s game including its most recent victory, 65-50, against San Diego State on Dec. 2. The Cougars have a balanced scoring attack with five players averaging between 7.9 and 8.9 ppg.
This is the first meeting between the teams in program history.
