UC Riverside Men's Tennis Earns 6-1 Victory Against Idaho State

Las Vegas, NV - The UC Riverside men's tennis team concluded its three-day trip in Las Vegas with a 6-1 victory over Idaho State at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV.
The Highlanders swept the doubles matches to earn the first point of the game, winning 8-4 in each. In singles action, UCR won five of six matches led by Quoc Doan's 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 1.
Felix Macherez defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2, while Austin Andres won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3, and Kevin Griffin wn 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5. Sean Peterson needed a tiebreaker to win his match, but did so at No. 6 singles 4-6, 6-4 (10-4).
The Highlanders return to Riverside to host Oregon on neutral courts at 10:00 am on Friday, February 18.
