Men's Tennis Concludes Spring Break With A 6-1 Loss At Sac State

Gold River, CA—The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team traveled to Sacramento State this weekend, dropping a 6-1 decision to the Hornets at Spare Tire Indoor Tennis Center.

Raineir Matias and Austin Andres won the No. 3 Doubles match, 8-6, but UC Riverside No. 1 and 2 Doubles Teams lost by identical 8-4 scores.

Michael Conroy won his No. 4 Singles match 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 for UCR's lone singles victory. Andres dropped his No. 2 Singles match 7-5, 6-4 while Kevin Griffin lost 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 and Sean Patterson fell 6-1, 7-6 (8-6).

The Highlanders return to Riverside for an April 1 Big West Conference home match against UC Irvine. The match is slated to begin at 2 pm PT.
