Anteaters Get The Best Of UC Riverside Women's Tennis In 7-0 Sweep

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside women's tennis team returned to Big West Conference play on Thursday afternoon with a 7-0 loss to UC Irvine.
The doubles matches at Nos. 1 and 2 were both close, but the Anteaters edged out the Highlanders for the first point. UCR's duo of Jamie and Taylor Raney lost 8-6 at No. 1 doubles, while Natalie McKay and Nadia Sakhakorn lost an 8-4 decision at No. 2.
In singles action, the Highlanders hung tough at No. 4 and 5. McKay dropped her sets 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4, and Angelique Corpuz lost 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5.
UC Riverside continues league play by hosting Cal State Northridge on Saturday, April 2 at 11:00 am at the SRC Tennis Courts in Riverside.
