Irvine, CA - The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team concluded play Sunday at the ITA Southwest Regional, with Julian Ruffin participating in the consolation singles round of 16.
Ruffin lost the first set 6-4 before winning the second 6-2. The match went into a super tiebreaker, with UC Irvine's Tyler Pham coming out on top, 10-4, to earn the victory.
"The team did very well considering this was the toughest Regional in the country," Head Coach Tim Downey stated. "It was a great effort from the guys and we know what we need to do to prepare for the upcoming dual team season."
