Highlanders Host Pink Game Against UC Santa Barbara On Thursday At 7 PM

The UC Riverside women’s basketball team has hit the home stretch in Big West Conference play with just four games remaining on the schedule. The Highlanders will look to make up some ground this week starting with a Thursday, February 16 game against UC Santa Barbara at 7:00 pm at the Student Recreation Center.
UC Santa Barbara enter’s Thursday’s game with a 4-6 league record, and is just ahead of UCR in the conference standings. The Gauchos won the first meeting between these teams, 63-43, back on January 14, but have gone 2-5 in Big West play since. UCSB has three players averaging between eight and nine points a game led by Nicole Nesbit’s 9.0.
The Highlanders continue to be led in scoring by junior Tre’Shonti Nottingham (14.8 ppg), and sophomore Natasha Hadley (12.2 ppg).
UCSB owns the all-time series record against UC Riverside, 22-17.
