Women's Basketball Road Finale Scheduled For Sunday At Seattle

The UC Riverside women’s basketball team takes a break from Big West play this weekend with a jaunt up the Northwest Coast to face Seattle on Sunday, February 26. The Highlanders regular season road finale tips at 2:00 pm at the Connolly Center in Seattle, WA.
The Redhawks are 16-9 on the season, and have a 3-2 record against fellow Big West opponents this year. Seattle has won its last four consecutive games, and average 71.7 points per game on the season. Three players average double-digit scoring led by Kacie Sowell’s 14.9 ppg.
UC Riverside has lost its last five straight games, averaging just 45.0 points over that span. Jessica Ogunnorin has had the hot hand of late for UCR, averaging 11.3 points over the last three games, and scoring a career-high 17 points at Cal State Fullerton on February 22.
The Highlanders defeated Seattle in the only previous meeting between these teams—a 65-56 win on November 19, 2010.
