Saint Mary's Tops UC Riverside Men's Tennis, 6-1

Los Angeles, CA—The UC Riverside men's tennis team picked up wins in doubles and singles, but could not convert the other matches as Saint Mary's won 6-1 on Sunday afternoon.
UCR's duo of Austin Andres and Felix Macherez won 8-7 at No. 1 doubles, but it wasn't enough as the other two matches went in favor of the Gaels, 8-1, for the first point of the contest.
In singles action, Jimmy Roberts turned a 6-3 loss in the first set into a 7-5 (10-8) tiebreaker win at No. 2, picking up the lone point for the Highlanders.
Each of the five other matches were decided in straight sets as Saint Mary's secured the 6-1 victory.
The Highlanders break for two weeks before hosting three straight matches from March 12-18 at the SRC Tennis Courts in Riverside.
