UC Riverside Men's Tennis Falls To Montana State, 5-2

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside Men's Tennis team returned to action on Monday afternoon by hosting Montana State at the SRC Tennis Courts, but fell 5-2 to the Bobcats.

The Highlanders duo of Austin Andres and Felix Macherez won their doubles match at the top spot, 8-3, but UCR lost at Nos. 2 and 3 as MSU won the first point of the match.

In singles, the Highlanders needed to win four of the matches to pick up the victory, but fell short by winning two of them.

Andres remained undefeated for the day as he won 6-3, 6-1 over Alberto Fuentes at No. 3, whileJimmy Roberts won his match at No. 2, 6-1, 6-0, against Markus Schleuter.

The Highlanders remain at home and will play Gonzaga on Thursday, March 15 at 2:00 pm at the SRC Tennis Courts in Riverside.
