Women's Basketball Celebrates Senior Night Thursday Against UC Irvine

The UC Riverside women’s basketball team has just one game remaining on its regular season docket, a 7:00 pm tip against UC Irvine on Thursday, March 1. Following the game, UCR will honor its three seniors: Briauna Linton, Brittany Palmer, and Jazzmin Lewis.
The Highlanders are still in the hunt for a Big West Conference playoff berth, but must win on Thursday in order to have any hope of advancing.
UCR will look to shake off a six-game losing streak, and score more than 50 points for the first time since February 4.
UC Irvine is 8-7 in league play, but has lost five of its last eight conference games starting with a 70-67 defeat by the Highlanders back on January 26.
Kassandra McCalister paces the Anteaters offense averaging 13.7 points per game, while four other players average above 9.0 ppg.
UC Riverside owns the all-time series record against UC Irvine, 29-13.
