Highlanders Women's Hoops Hosts Long Beach State Saturday At 3 PM

The UC Riverside women’s basketball team had its season-best two-game winning streak snapped against league-leading Cal State Northridge on Thursday, and have just a day to get ready for their next Big West contest as Long Beach State travels to Riverside for a 3:00 pm tip on Saturday, February 4.
Long Beach State emerged victorious over the Highlanders in the teams’ first meeting of the season, a 70-59 win on December 29. The 49ers are 9-13 overall and 4-5 in conference play, but have dropped each of their last two games by a combined average of 23 points. Tipesa Moorer paces the LBSU offense averaging 12.6 points per game.
UC Riverside’s Tre’Shonti Nottingham leads the Highlanders offense averaging 15.0 points per game, and her 18.0 ppg in league play is second-highest in the conference.
The Highlanders own the all-time series record against the Beach, 15-12.
