Colorado State Edges UC Riverside Women's Tennis In 4-3 Victory

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside women's tennis team was edged out by Colorado State on Tuesday afternoon, losing 4-3 to the Rams at the SRC Tennis Courts.
The Highlanders won the first point of the match by taking two of three in doubles action. Jamie and Taylor Raney won their match at No. 1 over Arneson and Schultz 9-8, and Natalie McKay and Kat Saltarelli defeated Kardhordo and Mulhern 8-5 at No. 2.
Needing a split in singles play to secure the victory, UCR fell just short as Colorado State won four of the six matches.
Saltarelli remained perfect on the day, winning her singles match at No. 2, 6-3, 6-3 over Lauren Mulhern. Courtney Pattugalan was also victorious for the Highlanders, defeating Emese Kardhordo 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5.
UC Riverside has no time for a breather as they host Portland on Wednesday, March 14 at 2:00 pm at the SRC Tennis Courts in Riverside.
