#57 UC Santa Barbara Too Much In 6-1 Defeat Of UCR Men's Tennis

Riverside—The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team continued Big West Conference play on Saturday afternoon falling 6-1 to No. 57 UC Santa Barbara at the SRC Tennis Courts.
The Guachos swept the doubles point, but UCR's No. 1 doubles duo of Austin Andres and Felix Macherez almost prevented that as they fell just short of victory, losing 9-7.
In singles action, UCSB showed why they're a nationally ranked team by winning in straight sets in five of the six matches.
UCR's Luis Gastao remained undefeated in Big West Conference play, however, defeating Alexander Gryaznov in a tiebreaker, 6-4, 4-6 (10-8), at No. 4.
The Highlanders now conclude their regular season schedule on Sunday facing #58 Cal Poly at noon at the SRC Tennis Courts in Riverside.
