Men's Soccer Enters Soccer America Rankings At Number 25 This Week

Riverside—The UC Riverside Men's Soccer Team (7-0-0) cracked the Soccer America Top-25 rankings this week landing at number 25 in the nation. This comes on the heels of news that the NSCAA/Continental Tire rankings have the Highlanders at 19th, while SoccerTimes.com has them 23rd, and College Soccer News ranks them at number 24.
The 2007 UC Riverside Baseball Team has the distinction of achieving the highest national ranking for a Highlanders program since the team made the transition to Division I prior to the 2001-02 season when Collegiate Baseball had them at 13th in the newspapers May 21 list.
A number of team's from UCR's Division II era achieved top-10 rankings most notably the women's volleyball and baseball programs, which won three and two national championship respectively, and the men's basketball program, which appeared in three Final Fours and the 1995 national championship game.
