Totten Leads Men's Cross Country To Ninth At Dellinger Invitational

Eugene, OR - Seth Totten finished 17th overall Saturday morning to guide the UC Riverside Men's Cross Country Team to a ninth place finish out of 10 teams at the Dellinger Invitational at Springfield Country Club.
BYU won the team event with 32 points followed closely by Oregon with 49 points. The Highlanders finished with 233 points, just 10 back of eighth-place UMass Amherst.
Totten finished the 8k course in 24:10--a new personal-best--and improved his time from last year's Dellinger Invitational by 17 seconds.
"Seth ran exceptionally well," Head Coach Irv Ray stated.
Michael Gauger and Cody Jordan were next for UC Riverside, placing back-to-back in 61st and 62nd place with times of 25:19 and 25:20 respectively.
Nic Beechan finished 75th overall in 25:43 while Sebastian Puraci and Benjamin Heck were 100th and 101st.
Oregon's Trevor Dunbar won the event with a time of 23:38--two seconds ahead of BYU's Jared Ward.
UC Riverside returns to action hosting the Highlander Invitational on Saturday, September 13 at the UCR Ag/Ops Course in Riverside.
