Highlanders Start Three-Game Road Trip At Nationally Ranked Gonzaga On Monday

Spokane, Washington—The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team gets its winter break underway by embarking on a three-game road trip starting on Monday, December 16 for a 6 pm PT tip at No. 22 Gonzaga. The Highlanders then play a pair of Pac-12 teams in Washington State and Arizona on December 18 and 21 respectively.
UCR is 4-4 on the season after dropping an 81-68 decision to Pepperdine at home on December 6 (box score/recap/video).
Brittany Crain continues to pace the squad in scoring averaging 19.0 points per game, while Natasha Hadley (12.9), Simone DeCoud (12.4), and Annelise Ito (12.3) all average double-figures.
Gonzaga is 8-1 this season with its only loss coming in a four-point game at #11 Oklahoma on November 14. The Bulldogs are set to play at No. 4 Stanford on Saturday before hosting the Highlanders.
The Zags are led in scoring by Haiden Palmer's 16.0 ppg. As a team, Gonzaga averages 77.7 points per game, slightly higher than UC Riverside's league-leading 75.9.
The Bulldogs own the all-time series record against UCR, 6-1 (view all-time results), including a 60-53 victory one year ago (box score/recap/video).
