Kennewick, Washington—Following a 44-point defeat at No. 22 Gonzaga Monday evening (box score/recap), the UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team looks to rebound, traveling to Kennewick, Washington for a 4 pm PT neutral-site game against the Pac-12's Washington State on Wednesday, December 18.
The Highlanders have four players averaging double-figure scoring led by Brittany Crain's 18.1.
Washington State is 5-5 on the season following an 87-76 loss to Dayton, a team that defeated UC Riverside earlier this year. WSU has played two Big West opponents, falling by 11 points at Hawai'i, but defeating Cal State Northridge by nine points.
Tia Presley and Lia Galdeira share the majority of the Cougars offensive load, averaging 20.2 and 17.3 points per game respectively. As a team, Washington State averages 74.2 points a game, two points more than UC Riverside's 72.2.
The Cougs and Highlanders are 1-1 all-time against one another with UCR earning the six-point win one year ago (box score/recap/video), and WSU taking the victory in 2011 (view all-time results).
