Women's Tennis Loses Heartbreaker To Southern Utah, 4-3

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team dropped a 4-3 heart breaker to Southern Utah Sunday afternoon at Canyon Crest Country Club.
SUU took the doubles point with identical 8-4 victories at the bottom two matches. UCR's duo of Taylor and Jamie Raney won their doubles match at #1, 8-1.
In singles, UCR needed to win four matches, but fell just shy, as the teams' split 3-3.
Jamie Raney defeated Olya Kunz 3-6, 7-6 (10-5) at number one, while Courtney Pattugalan earned a 7-6, 7-6 triumph over Madeline Skaras at number four, and Kate Bergeson defeated Nastya Vasileva 3-6, 7-5 (10-7) at number five.
Next up for the Highlanders is a Thursday, February 14 against Hawai'i at 11 am PT at Andulka Park in Riverside.
